Brooks Montgomery, or as he is sometimes called, “Old Man River” , lives with his wife Cammie Sayer and their chocolate lab Rosie, in Salmon, Idaho. Brooks has worked in the outdoor industry, in one form or another, since 1979.
A once western sales manager for Mountainsmith climbing packs and expedition ski sleds, Brooks went on to work as the co-creator and manager of the U.S. Antarctic Research Field Safety Training Program for nine years in McMurdo, Antarctica, teaching survival skills, guiding science expeditions, and working as a Joint Antarctic Search and Rescue member. He spent many years happily re-deploying to the South Island of New Zealand, where he would explore the 200+ trout streams of the South Island.
Brooks left the U.S. Antarctic Program in 1997 to create Brooks Montgomery Sales & Marketing, a rep-firm specializing in fishing and outdoor products. In 2010, Brooks Montgomery Sales and Marketing joined forces with his close friend (and competitor) Chris Hart of Sundown River Products, to form Hart-Montgomery Outdoor Sales. Brooks bought out his partner Chris in 2014, when Chris decided to join the Professional Bass Fishing Circuit.
The Award Winning sales team of Hart-Montgomery has five hardworking sales professionals with combined sales experience of over 75 years.
